The Brown lab is interested in recruiting postdoctoral fellows, graduate students and undergraduates with a strong interest in neural circuits to join the lab.

Postdoctoral fellows

The Brown lab is currently accepting applications from motivated postdoctoral fellows.  Prior experience in electrophysiology, optogenetics, imaging, in vivo recording, engineering, single cell RNA sequencing, bioinformatics  and/or computer programming is helpful.  Interested applicants should email a cover letter, CV and the names of three references and their contact information to spbrown@jhmi.edu.

Graduate Students

The Brown lab is currently accepting rotation students.  Students interested in setting up a rotation should email spbrown@jhmi.edu. In addition to the Graduate Program in Neuroscience, the laboratory is also affiliated with the Biochemistry, Cellular and Molecular Biology Graduate Program, the Cellular and Molecular Medicine Graduate Program and the XDBio Cross-disciplinary Graduate Program in Biomedical Sciences. Graduate students in any of these programs may complete their graduate thesis work in the lab.

Undergraduate students

The Brown lab is interested in motivated and curious undergraduates interested in gaining research experience.  Undergraduates are encouraged to contact the lab early in their undergraduate career to maximize their experience.  Interested students should email spbrown@jhmi.edu.
